Uppers are generally easier than lowers, once they are visisble in the mouth. They can be buggers if they are still in a high position and there are risks associated with sinus perforations.

they say upper wisdom teeth are easier than lowers, but if the tooth is rotten, it could be a little difficult for the dentist to remove, you may want to seek the advice of a oral surgeon and ask for a consult, then you can get your options, local, sedation etc.. the can then tell you their fees, they will have to take an xray of the area, the longer you wait , the more pain you may be in. You want to avoid infection and your other teeth being effected. There are so many options available now, ask freinds or family members who their dentist are and if they trust them. amke sure you feel comfortable from the time you make the initial phone call and they explain everything to you.

You must have it removed as soon as possible. Rotten teeth can cause serious problems. It is most suredly what is causing your migraines. All four wisdom teeth should be removed or the one below or above the missing one will grow into the open space. That is what the dentist told me. I had all four of mine out and I am so glad I did. It was so long ago, I no longer remember what the cost was.

Usually, Upper Wisdom teeth are easier to pop out than the bottom ones. If your wisdom tooth is that broken down, it needs to come out of there. I wouldn't doubt if it wasn't causing you pain/discomfort. So, go ahead and call your dentist to set up a time to have that little bugger removed. Good luck

When I last visited the dentist there was no surgery involved. My top two wisdom teeth came right out, the bottom two on the other hand had to be pried out and broken using my jaw as leverage. A couple stitches and I was out the door

i would suggest you try to save the tooth, but if you can't, get the matter taken care of right away. Things happen on New years Eve or Christmas day, when it is impossible to get any type of medical attention.
Take care of you teeth because the teeth determine the contour of your face. The more teeth you pull, the more risk you have of changing your appearance. Visit your dentist as often as he asks for you to come in for a check up...
You don't want to have a toothache on Thanksgiving Day !

well, basically you waited too long. it will not be easy. a tooth that decayed is like mashed pototates and will definitly be considered a surgical extration. some general dentists would not touch it with a ten foot pole. i would say they will have to remove some bone to remove it now. also, you could have sedation but it is never mandatory. by the way a severely decayed/infected upper tooth can cause a brain abscess, get it out.

Usually the top ones are easier to get out, but may be near the sinus cavity.
