At lgt heavyweight Foster was nearly unbeatable and one of the greatest champions in that wgt class. When he moved up to heavyweight he had problems especially vs Ali and Frazier which is no disgrace. Jones has very quick hands but his unorthodox style leaves him with his hands down too often and I believe his chin proved to be suspect. Foster had lethal power and as I witnessed in his fight with Mike Quarry, when an opponent rushed him, look out here comes the bomb. I believe that Foster would use his height and reach advantage most of the fight and in the 8th round would catch Jones with his hands down charging in and knock him out for the count.

Roy Jones is nothing anymore and apparently never really was anything but hype - fighting low level people for years.

bob foster because of his punching prowess!! it's rather obvious that roy cannot take a good punch; however, if roy had not fought so many "tomato cans," i would select him based on all-around skills!!
