You should attend the fancy food show in New york city at the Jacob Javitz center. They have a food show in the fall and in the spring every year. This is the best palce to meet proveyors and sample their retail products from all over the world.

I pick up a truckload of food in California,than take it to food
distributors like "Sysco food service".They are all over in the US in
all major cities
