I don't believe it's rational, but the believers think it is and they find comfort in that. What's so wrong about it?

Faith is accepting the irrational - accepting what you cannot understand or accept. While my perceptions of "GOD" have changed much since my very conservative Protestant childhood, I have a difficult time NOT believing in God. Humans are unique on the face of the Earth - no other creature does the strange things we do (build skyscrapers, blow them up, etc). I have an atheist friend who believes we were brought here by aliens - he is THAT adamant against the idea of God. What would it hurt for you to believe in God? What important piece of yourself would you have to give up to believe in God?

Yes, because God could be in a form quit different than we were though to expect, could just be aliens waiting for the right time to harvest us, anything is possible

well, we were taught to believe in god, but the only thing we have to do to believe in this superior being is to have faith. i think that there is probably some sort of unknown force, that controls the universe. and if there isn't, then basically , we were bringing every event that has happened by ourselves! cool

yes.

There is a positive and a negative. An equal and opposite to everything.

And some force has to be behind that.

Ask the quantum physicists who are scientifically proving there is a God!!

I find it productive and positive. The last time I beleived in God my income doubled and then tripled. It makes good financial sense to beleive in God from my experience. It is something very positive and productive -

It is Heavenly to Believe in GOD especially when GOD lets you FEEL what it is going to be like in Heaven.
Can't wait to get there.

It is beyond the minds control, the mind can't fully comprehend the allness of GOD, it is God within your heart that prompts you to seek the truth

since when did rationalist have any thing to do with it.
if it was rational it wouldn't be faith, if you could prove it it wouldn't be faith.
but the truth is I got higher on Jesus and the holy spirit than I ever got on Seagram seven.
it lasted longer and no headache.
