The most important question is did you get your piercing done professionally or did you get it done with a piercing gun?
If done with a gun then problems are normal because the gun literally shoots the blunt stud into your flesh, the operators are untrained and piercing guns cannot be sterilised meaning increased risk of infection as well as potential to pass on hepatitis. They have to use the studs provided, as well as causing damage to the flesh when entering the skin making it more difficult for the skin to heal because they are made form cheap metal it means it is easy to have an allergic reaction to the metal – you cannot just take the studs out because it will cause problems, get yourself to a real piercing studio and ask them to help, they should be able to clean your ears correctly and give you the correct jewellery for your piercing.
If done professionally then this is a bit more unusual, granted some crusty stuff will be present but not enough to cause concerns - unless it is your first piercing. The person who did your piercing should have given you information on how to care for the piercing; told you not to play with it, how long to keep the hoops or studs in for, used the correct clean equipment and jewellery and given you cleaning solution. If there are problems then you should be okay to call the studio to ask for advise or ask for an appointment so they can take a look at it just to make sure there are no problems – those who do piercings are fully trained not just in putting metal in your skin but what to do if someone goes wrong and blood pathology so they will be able to help you a lot better than most people here.
For the time being leave the piercings alone, just wash them gently with warm salt water for the time being and see if they clear up over the next few days, in other words before getting help if you feel you really need it. Another idea is Savlon spray to carry around with you, just a little squirt every now and then when it is not practical for you to clean with salt water.
Tie your hair back, this should be enough to keep it from catching or getting the nasty crusty stuff from getting into your hair, another piece of advise is to make sure you have clean pillows and keep hairspray or anything else away from your ears.
Lastly keep an eye out for any swelling, particularly if you had your ears done with a piercing gun as the ear may swell up causing further problems.

Yes it is normal for a new peircing to get crusty. You just need to keep cleaning it and turn the earing at least twice a day. Make sure anytime you touch the peircing you hands are clean. Try using proxide on it.

Some people use vaseline (petroleum jelly) for moist healing (but can be a bit messy on your long hair if it is loose).
Some people use methylated spirits to dry it up quickly.
It can take up to a month or six weeks to heal properly, but crusty is normal at first, just don't pick it off, but keep turning the earing (with clean hands).

Quite normal while it's healing. Worry if it goes green and smelly or bleeds past the first day or two though. Savlon spray is indeed good.

You should try to use 70% alcohol for cleaning it and put some baby oil after a while.
