what would you do? advice needed?

I used to have a web log, and recently, someone who stabbed me in the back earlier this year, had her friends place really sick insults and threats on my blog. By doing that, it confirmed that she stole or copied private info of myself and family (buisiness wise) I can handle a lot, no whimp what so ever, believe me, but just to beat the S**t out of her, is not the way of handling this, as she would have that against me, I want the truth out of her, but what's the best way of achieving that. I want to keep my cool, and make her look like the person she is, and make her apologize in public! (threats of hurting my animals, etc!) I know the comments came from her friends as they didn't hide that. It's really hard to control myself, and yes I did go to the police etc. but it keeps on knawing in my mind! HELP

if I only knew how to get my stuff back, she did put it into her pc, but I'm not good to, say, extract, that info out of it. By her friends comments it proved she stole info out of a locked cabinet! buisiness I always keep to my self, but the insults to my dad, and the position he had in the company once were mentioned. But how to prove this...sigh...

You know it probably might be not much help, but like Gina and others before on the answers it is going to be easier in the long run to try and let it go and it will run out of steam as they move on to someone else, or grow up, whichever comes first. You would only lower yourself into the same mire that they are in already, and they all know that what they have done is wrong and lies. i.e. Don't let them into your thought patterns, say to yourself they don't even deserve my contemplation, get out of my conscious self, effectively ban them, you are in control there, and only you can open the dor to let them in and get at you.



By the way to the idiot named ironically as Bstd, the first answer, I suggest you read some bodies profile, i.e.this one for instance, before you make really stupid comments. Feel bad you should do!!

It was a good thing that you reported it to the police at least there is a police blotter if in case you may need to pursue the case. Copying private info is already a crime in itself. The blog that you said she or her friends posted is already a written evidence but you said yourself you want to keep your cool so please learn to let it go, for the meantime. You said yourself, her friends did not hide that the bad comments come from them so what is it that you really want out of them. It may not be in their nature to apologize to you in public but better allow them to realize on their own that they are hurting other people. You can be sure that she has a conscience and sooner or later, she will realize that she has wronged you. Just keep your cool and show to her that you are not that affected and she will be. I would pray about it. I know that you are angry and I would be too, but Gods punishment is that of the worst kind. I would also put a lot of distants in the so called friendship with those persons , I would have nothing more to do with them if at all possible. I apologize for the pain you are going through. I hope that I have helped you in some way.

I don't think she will apologize in public without you beating the you know what out of her. And, as you said, that is not the way of handling this. Even though it is hard, I would let it go. Going to the police was the best thing you could have done.

I guess that's the price you pay for having a blog and letting people know about it. You can tell from some of the questions and answers on this site, that some people have to be rude, perverted, etc. Your best bet is to understand that these people are rude, mean, and want attention--so ignore the whole thing and move on. You are only hurting yourself by holding a grudge. It will eat at you and they won't care.

ugh i know that knawing in my mind feeling all to well,,you called the police so they have the report on the call you made..she will never confess ...have you talked to attorney...maybe some legal action needs to be taken..if she is threaten with some kind of lawsuit by a attorney not you then she might confess...i would get in touch with a lawyer...threats made on the internet is a crime now....

You just need to get over it. Push it aside and move on. Why allow them to continue making you feel like this? It's only making them win, because they more than likely know how much it's bothering you. Just move on. Do it for yourself. Let it go. It's not worth your time, effort, energy or frustration! Let them sit there and wonder when you'll strike back, and then never strike! It will make them nuts. Be the bigger person.

Your best bet is to be the bigger person, and just laugh it off. she did this to hurt you, so don't give her the satisfaction of letting her see it. Then just ignore her and her juvenile gang. you don't need people like that in your life. By the way, If the police are doing their job, they may just scare the crap out of them all

If you can prove that she stole or copied private info, and it is illegal, then I would get a lawyer.

There are a few things that you can do:
One bug your phone and record every conversation you have on it
Two bug yourself and talk to her face to face
three (this one is complicated) get a trojan in her computer that is set to log all of her keystrokes

use one or all of these to freak her out or even blackmail
