You can lose weight but it is typically water weight and you will gain it all back in a short period of time. Your best bet is to do both, make better food choices, don't snack, cut down on sugar/breads and anything else that tastes really good. Drink lots of water. Unfortunately, you need to do this for the rest of your life, so it's better to get into good habits now.

You can, but you won't gain any muscle without exercising. Exercise is so important to the body because it stimulates the heart and muscles. It is proven that people who exercise are less likely to have strokes, heart problems, obesity, and many other health issues. Plus, when you exercise, muscle actually aids in weight loss by burning fat. So while you can lose weight w/o exercising, it's best to do diet AND exercise. There are plenty of easy and quick exercises you can do to help. Let me know if you have any Q's I use to work in a gym

You can lose it alot faster and feel even better if you add excercise and not stay away from it. If you do it enough it becomes a habit that you WANT to do not loathe doing. Seeing results faster will give you the incentive to keep going.
Dieting should equal a healthy change not some program that takes this or that away from you. Watch your portions and begin to eat foods that full of protein, grains, fruits and vegetables...drink 64 oz of water a day, this in itself will keep you full and away from snacking.

Depends on how much you weigh and how many calories you are used to eating.
The basics are...taking in less calories than you burn off and you lose weight. Reduce your caloric intake my 3500 calories and it equals a pounds.
So technically yes, you will just lose faster with exercise.

Yes, you can lose weight without exercising, but your weightloss is likely to be greater if you do exercise. Exercise also helps to "tone" your body as you reduce your weight.

yes it is possible but ideally its quicker and easier on your body to tone up using excercise while you slim, as excercise burns up calories, ans tones aly flabby bits that happen when you lose weight

I would like so, but at least do some stretching and mild excercise to stay toned.. Even walking each evening will help for cardio.
