Cuban music has its roots in Spain and Africa, but has infflluence
from many other genres and countries.
There are many types of cuban music: danzón, guajira, charanga, conga, nueva trova, son and salsa, among others.
There are a lot of famous cuban musicians, like Silvio RodrÃguez, Pablo Milanés, ManolÃn, Compay Segundo and of course Celia Cruz

I believe the most representative cuban group has been the "Buena vista social club". They played son cubano, salsa, and other tropical rythms. Their music was great.
Celia Cruz was a very famous Cuban singer, she sang with "La sonora matancera" and then sang solo for many years until her death.
