Did they give you an ointment to put on there, that will help in healing and hopefully less scarring? Keep it clean and moist with ointment. Let as much air get at it as possible. Eat you Flintstones to help with the needed vitamins to aid in healing. Be Careful!

Probably not. I burned my leg really badly on a motorcycle, and it was indeed painful when it started healing. I just kept antibiotic ointment on it and covered it with sterile gauze to keep it clean and to protect it. Take the bandage off of course when you shower (ouch) and let it "air out" a little bit after showering. At night I just put sterile gauze on it very loosely to protect it. It took a long time for it to heal, and it was itchy and painful for the most part. Now I have a scar on my calf, but it isn't noticeable unless I go out and get a tan (the scar won't tan) and it doesn't grow hair.
Just make sure to keep it clean and if it starts looking infected go back to the doctor.
Be careful when you take the gauze off- it might be kinda stuck to the injury. If this happens, soak it for a few minutes in water to soften things up, and then SLOWLY peel the bandage off.
Also, once it gets healing and scabbing over, don't try to peel the scab off. This is your body's way of protecting the wound while the inside heals.
Try typing "wound care" into a search engine- I'm sure there is a lot more info out there.

Don't worry. I did the same thing and I was about your age, only mine was a lot larger (3inx4in). I just used the ointment they gave me and kept it covered with a large NON STICK bandage and gauze. It'll look oozy and gross as it tries to heal, but once it does, just remember not to pick the scab and let your body do it's thing. You can't even see my scar unless your looking really hard. I have a hard time finding it myself. If you're still worried about the appearance of a scar, go buy Mederma, a visible scar reducer creme (it's clear and odor free). You can get it at the drug store or Wal Mart. I use it on another scar I have on my arm and it's working great.

As a nurse who has worked in A&E we used to frequently pop burn blisters but treatment and research has changed on the do's and dont's! If you pop the blister the pain will be relieved as the pressure will disappear. To do this you need something sterile, (you could use a needle after soaking it in boiling water) then keep the area covered compltley with a sterile dressing (you can but adhesive gauze at the chemists. It would heal quicker then leaving a big blister!!!

Most likely but dont be scared. If it leaves a scar, itll be cool. I love all of my scars. I have several of them all great memories if i lost them I think i would die. I have one from rollerskating w/o brakes I have from wrestling on a lounge chair one several on my legs from a homemade go cart that my cuz made and we went down a giant gravel hill it was awesome. To make a really long list of scars story short, Dont be afraid of whats going to happen. It may not be as bad as you think.

If they said it, probably. Wait and see if it heals, and then make the decision.
