I think science definately supports a universal creator, more than supports chance without a creator. From science as small as biology to as big as astronomy, there's no denying the existance of intelligent design. Also, social sciences such as linguistical anthropology also support intelligent design. The fact that the year is 2006 proves that there was a man named Jesus that was so important that we base our time on him, and I seeing that the Bible is still the most popular, most translated book in the world, I have a feeling there's something pretty important to it.

Man's limited knowledge of the environment has led to many conclusions that had to be modified or scrubbed all together. For instance, there was a time when scientists who studied the stars believed that the earth was the center of the universe. Just because they believed that did not make it true, since now it has been discovered with the aid of sophisticated machines, the earth really orbits the sun. So as man increases his knowledge of his surroundings, his views change. Although the Bible is not a science book, its view of space is right on the money. For instance, in schools of higher learning, it was taught that the earth was resting on the back of four elephants, who were in turn standing on the back of a giant sea turtle. However, thousands of years ago, the writer of the book of Job stated that "the earth is resting on nothing." Which view is correct? Also, at one time men thought that the earth was flat. Christopher Columbus risked his life and the lives of his sailing crew to prove that was not right. However, if he had read Isa. 40:2, he could have saved himself a lot of trouble. It says: "There is One who is dwelling above the CIRCLE of the earth." One warning: Don't put your complete trust in science. It is often wrong.

Even though I usually defend science against attacks from dogmatists, let's make it clear right away that science is NEVER going to "disprove the existence of a universal creator."
Science has nothing to do with that. What science CAN do is put the kibosh on bad arguments posing as "science" - for example, so-called "intelligent design" (ID).That says absolutely nothing about the existence of God. It just says that ID is baloney. (There are a lot of scientists that have no problem with this, or with evolution. The noise comes from a shrill minority.)
I approach it from the skeptical angle. We've been waiting for thousands of years and have never encountered, or been offered, one solitary iota of evidence that gods exist.

There are many roads to God. He does not care which road you take, or if you take no road. Any religion that says that it is the only way to God is a false religion. A lie! I believe in God. I know that I will cross over when my body dies, my soul will live on.Sin and hell are man made terms. God nor Jesus made those words. Men who needed fear to control and extract money from the gullible masses invented those terms. Do some research. Check out different ways to worship the same God. Think for yourself. Do not ever buy anything from the bible. Take the parables of Jesus true meaning and throw the rest away.

First of all those who are in the "heated debate" are the last ones to listen to for advise.
If you look at all of the worlds religions, they all espouse a Or several) God(s) that expect all to be caring, and loving to one another,or civil to one another, I believe that every religion is true about the one fact that some omnipotent power created all, Whether this God has a plan for all of us is debatable, but I think you have to be pretty arrogant to believe that this all powerfull being has the desire to come do your bidding just because you ask it to.(praying),I believe that this being gave each and every one of us both the knowledge between right and wrong, and the free will to decide whether or not to use that knowledge, What happens is up to you,
As far as science and "god",, science is just humans way of discovering how this "god" physically did what was done.

I think the concept of a creator is false. I couldn't believe in any creator allowing the injustices to occur that do. Enough science is out there for anyone to read opinions and facts. finding life on another planet will awnser so many questions espically if the life is intellegent and able to communicate with us. A whole seperate society to talk with and get opinions from will change dynamics of spirtuality.

Kinda hard to give you an opinion, since I am already a Christian and Have christ in my life..it is no longer an opinion for me but a fact..
Since having Christ come into my life I have free access to the creator of the universe. Something man had in the beginning but lost it because of sin
Another thing about Christians is they are not allowed to give opinions..Jesus taught not to testify of yourself...2 Peter 1:20 says
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
A private interpretation is ..called an opinion..
I know God exists because His word is true and by his word since Jesus said He would send back a comforter ..which is the Holy Ghost John 14 and 16 chapters and the Holy Ghost dwells in us He is the teacher of the word of God to us. through the Holy Ghost God God interacts with us..He communes with us He talks with us...when we talk to Him He answers..
God bless

I believe that nobody can ever prove or disprove the idea. A higher power could exist without us knowing it, or it could not exist. That is why Buddhists are agnostic, taking either side means having blind faith in something, and then you become so attached to your belief that attaining Nirvana becomes impossible...

The world is filled with many false views of God. People without a knowledge and relationship with God tend to create their own 'gods' - either a god who is made up of nature and creation, or a god who is totally absent and separated from creation. The One True God is neither of these. The God of the Bible is the Creator, not the creation; He is transcendent; He is Holy. Yet, He has not separated Himself from that which He has made. He is actively involved. He is near. He is immanent. It is in knowing Him that we have eternal life and blessing. Only in knowing Him can we understand and fulfill our purpose for living.
