i ask your self why too. As a Muslim i became into taught to recognize all ideals and religions, on an analogous time as ridiculing yet another's faith is incorrect. To the answerer who stated Islam is a murderous, devilish faith: Islam is actual a faith of peace, the be conscious 'Islam' itself skill peace. In right now's international it has an somewhat very distorted photograph because of the fact of Muslim extremists (terrorists) who arn't extremely following the religion precise besides. that is unhappy to renowned Islam is recognized as a violent faith, while it truthfully tries to teach love and kindness. Peace be with you. ?

Islam is not one voice. We are made up of individuals. I'm Muslim and don't attack trees. But Muslims do believe that supersitutions are handiwork of Satan. But the tree being mystical doesn't do anything to the Muslim faith because
1.) We believe black magic excists (starting in Bablyon)
2.) We believe God knows the secrets of the Heavans and Earth unknown by Humans
3.) We believe that there are beings that humans can't see
4.) God doesn't create anything evil, trees and living things all submit totally to God, unlike humans, who can choose to disobey God
5.) We love living things and believe every creature and plant has good benefit for mankind

Real Muslims aren't suppose to hurt trees or fly planes into buildings. I think the kids of this story are fanatical and need to rethink what there faith is about. I'm pretty sure not all Muslims would have done something like that just the misguided ones. .

I don't think it has anything to do with Islam. I think it has everything to do with being Indonesian. In the old country (my mom and their family is from Jakarta), there is still a strong vein of mysticism and superstition. My grandma still spouts her old wives tales and superstitions about ghosts and evil spirits. Those are "pagan" beliefs, just like any third world country with recent Christian converts would have. And they are in direct opposition to Islamic beliefs.

Because they are the most unlogical and uneducated group of people on the face of the earth, the place where i come from, we had to spend millons of extra dollers to extend our airport runway the other way because there was a MASJID on the other way and they don't want to move it, they are the most stupid people.

You know, its real easy to judge someone else's religion....Christ taught tolerance and love....How many Muslims do you think you will win over to Christ with that attitude?

Or have you already given up on all Muslims?

From what I understand, the tree was not in the way and was preserved because of its age and because of its folkloric significance and because of environmental factors.

Just because the culture in Indonesia is superstitious, doesn't mean that Muslims should attack it. How is the tree hurting them?
Can you imagine a group of Muslims going into a frenzy over a tree?
That's what I get out of it.

This is not about religion, you silly! This is about them being scared of evil spirits..I think thats normal for a country THATS HAVEN'T MODERNIZE YET. How does it reflect on Muslim? NOTHING. It reflects on humanity and their fear of supernatural.
