Ohhhhhh Potato night, I remember that!! I loved the CSD-I actually enjoyed the soup- I did lose weight, but you won't keep it off unless you change your eating habits afterwards!!! (healthy diet and Exercise) Along with the vitamins mentioned earlier you might want to try charcoal tabs(cabbage soup=Long, loud farts) Good luck once your done you should look into some alternative weight loss plans-use this diet as a kick start.

I don't want to sound discouraging, but I get concerned anytime I hear people trying to lose weight through the latest fad diets. Our bodies need a wide variety of nutrients that cannot be found in cabbage. Please try eating every 2-3 hours (Healthy breakfast, small snack, healthy lunch, small snack, healthy dinner, small snack) (small snack would be peice of fruit, a few nuts, granola bar, etc.) Drink lots of water in between, especially when you feel hungry...which won't be often with eating every few hours. Get a little exercise, even just walking, everyday. This is the only healthy way to lose weight. It is also a lifestyle change that will ensure that as long as you continue, you'll keep the weight off. Unless you plan on eating cabbage soup for the rest of your life, you are guaranteed to gain weight again when you go off this diet. Each time you diet, then gain weight, then diet, etc. you lose muscle and gain back fat. This makes the next diet even harder and creates an unhealthy body.

My mom and I tried the cabbage diet. It worked real good for my mom cause she's a stickler. Do and try what ever you want. People are all different and some things work better for some and not others. I've started a new diet of my own and I have lost 10 lbs. I eat dinner for breakfast and have my lunch at lunch then I eat breakfast for dinner. Breakfast for me is around 6 am and no later than 7:30am. I have lunch around Noon and no later than 1pm. If I get hungry I snack on crackers or nuts even popcorn and thats no later than 2pm. By 6pm I'm not that hungry so I eat eggs and bacon or oatmeal & toast or a bowl of cereal. I find that eating dinner for breakfast gets me started for my day and I have all day to burn that piece of steak and my baked potato or what ever it is I'm eating. By dinner my goal is to eat something light and ususally I'm really not that hungry. I might eat a peanutbutter and jelly sandwhich or a cup of yogurt with granola thats really yummy especially with strawberry and Banana yogurt. Girl, at least your trying to do something to make you feel better. And just because your trying the cabbage soup diet doesn't mean you'll do it forever and its always good for change. I myself like cabbage in my beef stew or rib soup! Dont forget to drink lots of water!
Happy Eating! Best of Luck to you! :o)

A bit of advice...make sure you are taking vitamins. Cabbage is not a very good food item. In China, because of a famine, people had to eat only cabbage and developed problems because of that. These fad diets are not very successful, nor healthy....just reduce your caloric intake. Take some walks to keep your muscles toned and be patient. You gained weight over years...lose weight over time....not in an unhealthy way.

Cabbage soup diet stop this madness now.
First to lose weight you have to eat healthy fresh non fat foods, the good fats come from fish oil, remember that, three to four small meals a day and get off your bum away from the computer and excise, get physical, walk swim dance. Be kind to your body
good luck

Just remember if the diet you are on you can not do for a lifetime then its time to change your lifestyle and do something you can live with because if you don't change your lifestyle and eating habit you will go right back to having to lose weight over and over again
