We have always been labeled as unbelieving sinners, it is nothing new. There is not much we can do either except be true to ourselves, and have respect and understanding for others.

We should wear the name "unbelieving Sinner" like a badge of honor--we need not believe, because we actually know

Well, I am sure they mean as opposed to "believing sinners." And I am sure they feel no superiority for "By grace" they "are saved, and that not of themselves." They certainly aren't saved because they sin any less. In fact, according to the US Census and Barna, the Christian market research firm, divorce rates are highest among evangelicals out of all groups, Southern Baptist being the highest.

If you're following your passions, having left your toxic memories of the past behind, mourned your losses, admitted your hurt, forgiven those who've hurt you and gotten away from those who don't love you, and forgiven yourself because you are a good person, because you do feel bad when you've hurt someone, then you wouldn't even notice the nay sayers along the way, and if they're in your way, you'll be able easily to ignore them, out manuever them, denounce them rationally, and continue on your shining path to happiness.

It's amazing how many non-atheist are answering this question. Proving that theist are not only rude with their "Shove our religion down your throats" style but also arrogant to believe that any of us atheist here would read your answers and say to ourselves "Gee, I guess I should become Christian, where's the collection plate so I can put my money in?" Christian values my aching ***.

"Sticks and stones can break my bones, but names can never hurt me." That old expression can be helpful, but in this new climate of violence it can be worrysome to anyone on the receiving end of it. Christians are asked to "love thy neighbor as thyself," but there are some who have been hijacked into punishing those who do not agree with them. You might want to distance yourself from such people. Or, if you feel up to it, you can stand up for yourself. Either way, it really sad that you even have to think about it. Best wishes

I say we keep on "sinning." The morality of the religious comes from ancient books, whereas ours comes from common sense, critical thinking and life experience. If compassion is a sin, then just keep on sinning, sister!

I don't understand one thing. If you don't believe in God, who, according to the religious people, is Omnipotent, then why are you worried about some folks around here.
