I read an article the other day about a local Muslim boy who plays football and is still practicing and such while fasting. He mists his face with cool water but does not consume any.
You should play/work out as much as you feel that you can handle, but definitely sit down and rest if you feel dizzy or light-headed.
The Gym teacher should respect that fact that you are fasting this month and leave it be.
While you are playing in gym though, consider the companions of the Prophet and all the physical labor they would do during the fast of Ramadan. Consider that they would continue on thier daily lives with building homes, harvesting dates or other crops, herding livestock, etc...
Life does not stop for the fast.
Fasting is intended to make you purge the things of this world and concentrate on spiritual nourishment. Praying, reading Qur'an, making thikr and other acts of worship while fasting should strengthen you during the fast.
As in all things, seek refuge with Allah (SWT) and reject the temporary pain or discomfort of this world. Remember that the body you have now is only temporary and your goal should be in strengthening the form you will have for eternity: your spirit.

You really shouldn't fast for long. If it is part of your religion, then tell the gym teacher. That person should understand and cut some slack.

As long as you are getting plenty of fluids a day or two of fasting should not do any harm. Longer could get you into trouble though, you need good nutrition to stay healthy and strong. If you are fasting as a weight loss method it does not work for permanent losses.

If you are feeling light-headed, then maybe your doctor would write you an excuse for Gym until Ramadan is over. Have you explained the situation to your teacher? I am a teacher, and I know that we are absolutely bound to respect religious practices.

IF you were a brother I'd say toughen up its no big thing.
As a sis, just get a note if you can't do it. But I would at least try to do some activity.
Remember, Muhammad (s) and his sahaba had to fast under extreme conditions. Our fasting is sooo much easier.

First off if you are fasting for weight loss you are going about way wrong. What you are doing is training your body to hold on to as much fat as it can because it doesn't know when the next meal is going to come. while you will loose some weight this way it is both unsafe and unhealthy. If you want to loose weight lower your calories don't eliminate them and then yes play harder

If you are fasting, since prayer goes along with fasting, you should do your fast on a day you are not in school. That way, it would have some meaning if you pray and fast. If you are praying and fasting, what are you doing on the Internet?
