I think freshly expressed milk is good for an hour or two at the most without being refrigerated. If I'm caught somewhere and my daughter is hungery I just excuse myself and nurse her in the car.

most stores that i know of, like a mall has a mommy and child room where u may go in privet to nurse the baby. and also most churches has a nursery which may have a room for mothers to nurse. or the option of useing a pump before you go and feeding the baby that way. storeing the milk in a bottle and buying the thermo bags which will keep the milk warm for 2 hrs. or less

You will have to carefully plan. If you pump and store your milk...store it in a cool place and then rewarm it.

I could not go long without having to have my kids nurse. If I went to long, it would hurt. If you are in church for a long time (I know there are some places that have services all day...you may want to request a private room to nurse. People should be very understanding. If you go shopping, you really should plan short trips. I know its tough sometimes. I have been caught, to where I did have to nurse in my car. Bring a small blanket with you, to give you and the baby privacy.

Yay!

keep it chilled until you need it, then just warm it up. Treat it like normal unhomogenised milk. And congrats on the baby! And on choosing breast feeding. it is so much better for baby than formula.

Breastmilk has a shelf life of about 2 hours unrefrigerated. You can buy bottle coolers and cold packs to extend it a bit further.

you can refigerate it.. or get used to breastfeeding with a blanket over top - this is what I did.. beleive it or not educated people will be happier if you breast feed than if you bottle feed.

I think that Avent and Dr. Brown have a bottle warmer that you can take with you places. Playtex also has a bottle that stays warm, I think.
