Most mormons are raised to believe a certain thing. They are not taught the full indepth beginnings and changing beliefs of the past 200 years or so. I know someone that did a full study of the history of the church and found that most rituals are related to those of the maisons. which is weird becuase mormons dont like maisons yet they immitate their belief system. yeah!
If you think joseph smith proclaiming himself to be better than jesus christ and above god then yeah thats a bit cult like.
i know there are people who say we shouldnt bash on other religions but when religions do things that are forbidden in the bible (like worshipping dead people, saying " men can become gods) i say i have grounds to speak out against them. If they dont like thats too bad.

And aren't you arrogantly certain of the truth of what you believe? Did you go get a Ph.D. in comparative religion, and after much study and analysis come to the conclusion that your particular brand of Christianity is true and all others false? Or were you just born in a Christian country to a Christian family in your particular denominaton and have actually put more intellectual analysis into your choice of Nikes than your choice of gods? My experience of Mormons is they know a lot more about their faith than most other "Christians" know about theirs, and your assumption that they've been duped and you haven't because you were raised with your faery tales and not theirs is unjustifiably smug.

At least the average Mormon could probably spell "duped". Also, if you actually knew anything at all about Satanism, you'd probably find virtually no parallels between that philosophy and the religion practiced by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (or any other Mormon offshoot).

Thank you all for your comments, no wonder the Christian world is a mess, all you Christians show what you really are, is this how we treat others who is different from you?
I am proud to be LDS, and from what I see, many of you know too little to make any judgement of us. I am really disappointed in your Christian community.
Good day.

If anyone really looked into their theology a little closer most would see how odd it is.Things like turning into God. I totally see your point. Mormons believe that like after a certain amount of time and if they do the right thing then they can eventually become gods themselves.Case and point Lucifer(Satan) believed he could be like God. So yeah basically the same thing. Satan definitely has his mark on that cult.
i love you,

Thank you for the blessings you provided us.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Why is it less believable than Fundamentalism, or Catholicism? How is it more of a cult than Judaism or Islam?

I am a mormon. And honestly, I feel that anyone who does not realize we believe in Christ as our Savior and king is blinded by the lies of the world. I know Christ lives, He is my king. He is my savior. Through him I can be cleansed of all my sins. Please understand. Mormons believe in Christ.

The Latter Day Saints follow a man that made so many mistakes in their bible that it has had to be revised 7 times because Joseph Smith did not get it right.
Mormons, as a whole, believe they are right just as the devil believed and trembled -- but devil was not saved because of his belief of Jesus.
