i told my b/f that I love him which i absolutely do. He is the most amazing person i have ever met, kind intelligent trustworthy unselfish...everything I want. he didnt say it back....he has never been in love before. he said he was so happy that i said it but wanted to wait until he knew he really was. he said i could tell him i loved him whenever i wanted to. i feel like an idiot and now im so upset that he doesnt feel the same way.

Ask him if he thinks seeing other people would help him make up his mind. If he says yes, dump him.

He said he was happy ..that you said you loved him but he couldn't say it back. He sounds like he may be scared, afraid if he says it that it may not be real. Let it sink in that you love him and he should return it when he feels comfortable enough to say it.Don't feel like an idiot you meant what you said and told him how you felt it makes you a very good person. Wait a few months if needed and if you don't hear those words then ask him and if he doesn't love you, then it is time to move on.

Don't feel like an idiot....ever heard the saying of why wait for someone to be dead before you give them flowers? You told him how you felt and that's what's important. Give him time...I'm sure you're a wonderful person if he's still with you...he'll fall..just watch.

Don't be upset. Its alright that you said it first. He may or may not ever say it to you. You should feel good that you didn't play games, you just told him how you feel. If he decides he doesn't feel the same, then don't worry. You'll find someone who adores you. You don't want to pressure him if that's not really how he feels right?

You shouldn't force him to love you. I didn't say my I love you to my bf when he told me because I said I just didn't know or quite feel it yet. When I did, I told him. Love doesn't always come at the same time. When he's ready, he will tell you.

give him some time,girls always almost fall in love first,they ususally are the first ones to say i love you.so just give him some time he sounds like a nice guy.

So whats the question? Maybe he loves you, maybe it doesn't, how are we supposed to know? If you want to find out ASK HIM, not us, otherwise either get over it, or break up with him.

ouch that hurts. same thing happened with me last year with my gf. its probably too early. i felt bad to. try talking to him about it and make amends quick before he breaks up with you. that really brings back bad memories
