I totally agree with u! I'm from another country also and I had to be in a lottery to come here! I had to wait six years to come to America, then had to take all the tests, etc.

We do it with illegals for several reasons.
1. If the border was closed, the Mexican economy and the Mexican government as the result would collapse. The Mexican economy needs the income, and Mexico needs an outlet for the dissatisfied.
2. American politicians make too much money from special interests (kickbacks) to close the borders.
3. American business men make too much money from illegals.

Bottom line it is too profitable for the people-in-power in this country to close the border.

i think people need to take off their blinkers and realise that many people (ie. refugees) do what they do not to be greedy and selfish and get something for nothing, but because they genuinely have no other hope for a life worth living.
