I furthered the discussion with my last question about "why did God give us free will?" and most of the guys that attacked me remained silent.

Those who spoke, said nothing important... a few made some important points and hence my last question-

YOU SAY that GOD gave us freewill because without freewill, there is no fun... no repentance, no crime, no forgiveness and hence no life. God wanted us to have a roller-coaster life with pain and happiness... experience it all.

My question is- Is rape, mental trauma, war, killing of innocents and murder all part of this experience? Did God want to be this way?

If you say Yes... then, enjoy your sins! God wants you to commit sins! Go ahead!! Kill that kid!

If you say No... then, why doesn't your God stop all this? Is he shackled by his own rules? He is omnipotent, right? If He doesn't want it to happen, why is he watching the baby getting raped and people getting murdered? Is a sociopath, psycho killer's freewill THAT important?

I am not accusing anyone. I am just discussing what I feel... please don't be offended.

I appreciate the polite answers but still... please read the whole question before answering.

Still you haven't told me as to how this isn't a game. What is the purpose of this all? Give someone freewill and then expect him to act a certain way. Is that gambling or what?

Great answer Norm.

I want to elaborate.
God Doesn't like Sin, but He loves people. He Wants them to love and want Him to. But not because He can do something for them, even though He can, but because He wants you to make a choice. Do You Love Him? For who He is, and if you don't know who He is, Do you want to find out. God Is the only one that love us unconditionally. Do you care enough about yourself and about your afterlife to look for Him? Because It Really MATTERS that you do!.

Give Him a shot after all have come and failed. God Bless You

If the "open questions" you post cause you to become angry when everyone posts what "they think", then you should rethink what you're doing. Is it so you can feel all tough and "holier than thou" kinda thing when others post what they merely think about what you've asked?

No one has any real solid answers as to why bad things happen to people, all we know is those that commit those crimes came from fekked up families that treated them the same way. Their actions are based on how they were treated as children, and they display "externalized hurts and pains" by hurting others, raping, beating, selling drugs, torturing, bullying, and many more (these types are more likely to murder).

Those that hurt themselves are displaying "internalized hurts and pains", by selling themselves, being promiscuous, taking drugs, being alcholics, cutting themselves (these types are more likely to commit suicide).

In psychology, we are taught that "there is no such thing as a bad person". Everyone behaves the way they were raised. We can only help them when they realize that they need help.

Otherwise, yes... the world keeps on being fekked up by these screwed up people. Don't go blaming God for the bad things that happen, only understand that it was "that free will" that we were taught that we have. However, that freewill has been used and abused by people who were not taught any respect for others least of all themselves.

If you run around "blaming God" for the screwed up world, then you're no better than the abuser. Simple as that!!

Oh yeah. :-) I also believe "everything is connected" (ie., psychology, philosophy, religion, spirituality, blah blah blah!)

...I already answered this question, you're basically asking the same thing. People commit those crimes, key word there *people* God can't magically prevent all bad things from happening, yeah he probably hates the way we are ruling our lives and this world, but oh well, we chose to do it that way. He's like a father: we made the bed, now we have to lie in it. If some of us find the truth path threw all the bad things, then we truly deserve to live a good afterlife.

Yes a psycho's free will is important, just as important as yours or mine. God doesn't play favorites.

Yes, his love is shackeled by his truth. He made us with free will, He knew we would do horrible things for eons. Did he want it that way? He wanted people to willingly love him.
Before he even made a man, he had a plan in place to redeem us. He had a plan, that would break the chains so we could love. Without free will there is no love. He showed us the path to love. That path is by folling his set of rules.

God said if you love me, then obey my commands (John 14:15)

I am sorry you can not see the big picture, here is a simple illustration. Each person is a thread. We are threads of many different colors. We can only see the threads next to us. If you step back, and look, there is a beautiful picture woven together from what our lives did, and who we interacted with.

God is the tapestry maker, you are just a thread

Just because you fail to understand does not logically mean that God does not exist.

Did God WANT the rape, murder, stealing, war and everything else? NO.

Evil and pain are in this world as a result of sin. Why is it allowd to continue? Because God wants to give everybody the opportunity to turn away from the sin in the world and to become obedient. He will not force anyone to do this, but he is trying to be fair and give all of us plenty of opportunities to do what is right.

Is free will important? yes. God can not rightfully sentnce someone to eternal death without demonstrating that the person chose the life that they wanted to live and that they chose to burn in hell as a result of their choices in life.

Do you believe that a magician can actually pull a rabbit out of thin air , If the answer is yes then you are pretty dumb ,if you answered No then what in the world would make you possibly believe that a creation as magnificent as this could just pop out of no where without a creator ,

And no, God didn't intend for us as mankind to be the way we are ,Satan is a liar and the father of lies and you believe Him instead of the truth

God gave us free will because he wanted to share love with us. Without free will, you cannot love.

Rape, mental trauma, war, killing of innocents and murder are the consequences of failing to love God. They are completely avoidable, but WE choose the wrong path. With free will comes personal responsibility. Don't blame God for the consequences of man's actions.

And everybody's free will IS that important. The spectrum of human suffering is minute compared to the opposing polarities of good and evil and their eternal consequences.

The absolute worst of human suffering is limited within the confines of temporal reality. Hell is atemporal, and so is heaven. You have no idea how good or how bad it can get.

Ok, firstly, God created us WITH free will, which means we have a choice to follow him and become saved or
not to repent and remain sinners.

If he would have created people without any respect and intrinsic values, he could have easily put us all in heaven and created a "worryfree" zone full of zombies.

He didnt, he gave us free will so we can choose and decide, even if we make wrong decisions

God wrote it all our for us in his book, we have a unique chance to live an eternal life in happiness in heaven, if we choose not to read it or listen to it, its our problem.

God wants us to enjoy our life with him ,not to committ sins,
he loves the sinner but he hates the sin...

don't worry, we all have a free choice, use it wisely

God bless you

yes, i changed my answer, the one before was a little rude!

i think the only way you will discover that answer is by studying the faith yourself. Im not telling you to become a christain or anything but maybe see what the bible has to say about it. if you are not satisfied then i dont what to tell you.
why god does not intervene when people do bad things is a difficult thing to understand, god said we are free to do whatever we want, but remember that there are consequences for our actions. when someone does something bad, something happens to them in return. the truth is god cannot intervene because he gave us free will, to stop it would make god out to be a liar. what kind of god would that be, one who doesnt live up to his own word? i dont think anyone can really explain why the world is the way it is. Instead of complaining about it and blaming god, try yourself to make a difference in the life of another.
