why do people drink?

why do people drink even when they know its bad to do it? it worst than getting your arm broken. it awful to smoke. if you haven't started DON'T DO IT AT ALL

it's worse than breaking my arm?! are you kidding me?! it's absolutely harmless if you drink responsibly. but then again, if you do ANYTHING responsibly, chances are no harm will come to you. duh, hello.

are you speaking from firsthand experience? somehow, i think if you were, you would have reached a more rational conclusion. do you realize that one time in history, drinking beer was safer than drinking water?!

People drink for many reasons, they say people who drinks are people who do well in the work place and make good money, doctors will tell you that some drinking is good for you, people drink to wind down, to socialize, and to over drink. It's like smoking along time ago, when you hear so much positive things you filter out the negative.

I think drinking gives everyone an "excuse" to do something that they "normally" don't want to show or do. But basically it's like smoking, it's a thing to be social, and go along with the crowd. Some might consider alcohol to be an escape when they are so called buzzed or drunk, from the pains or stress of their life. I really don't think anybody find alcohol to be good tasting. I think they just endure the flavor just because its alcohol, because come on.....wine do not taste like grapes people!! a hint of fruity note my butt!! also, beer doesn't taste malty or sweet!!! It all tastes like battery acid.

Do you? No, thats okay nvm. Yeah I really don't know. Probobly because it's there. I personally agree with you though because look at all the people who have alcholic problems. They don't get to live their lives how they want to because they drink. Also even if your not addicted to it, it still can affect your body. I also say don't drink or smoke or do drugs because they are very very bad for you, and I wish people could just listen to that advice and say no.

Young people drink to fit in with peers, the problem is that many of them will wind up as alcoholics and ruin their own and most likely other people's lives.
