Babies do not cry for no reason. As others have indicated, he may need some medical attention.

Babies cry when something hurts, or they are scared, or hungry or need a diaper. It is how they talk without words. Your brother is saying he needs something. When he cries go to him and talk to him in soothing baby talk...ask him, "Whats the matter, baby?" If you can rock him a bit he might feel more secure. See if he needs a diaper change. Bring him a bottle, he'll need a diaper change after that for sure.

if he cries and cries even when all of his little needs have been met then he may need to go to the doctor.

Talk with your mom. Ask her if it would be okay if you hold baby when he cries. Mama may just need some help and not be able to get to him before he really starts.

Try to keep up with your chores and your homework so your mom can either take care of him or get some rest. Time to be responsible. Things will get a lot better when baby sleeps the night and learns how to talk. Right now everybody is just plain tired. You're in a position where you can show them how you are growing up. Be patient, remain calm, help a bit, and it will be ok.

babies cry for a reason, its their way to communicate. if he has had a check up with the doctor and everything is fine, then it is simple things, like he needs food, he needs a burp, he needs a nappy changed, he is thirsty, he is hot or cold or sometimes he is bored( just like us) and wants someone to play with him, and sometimes (like us) he just wants a cuddle.babies don't stay little for long and before you know it he will be walking and talking and have a personality of his own and be much more interesting. hang in there, the fact that you asked this question shows that you are a great sibling. keep smiling

Usually infants cry for 2 reasons, one he/she is hungry or he/she is in pain...Other than that, you can simply try to talk to your brother..you know, make faces..babies like that a lot..or maybe your brother needs a little hug..the warmth of someone on their skin makes them feel secure..most important of all you must learn how to be patient with him..goodluck!

If he is crying non-stop, there may be a problem. Tell your parents to take him to the doc. He could have an ear infection or colic.
