When you take someone's blood pressure or you have to listen to someone's heart rate. Or if you need to check for a heart murmur.

Probably never. Although in a hospital or doctor's surgery, a stethescope would be used for listening to a patient's heart and lungs as well as taking a BP, there isn't a call for such things in a school. If a child is that sick to warrent such treatment, they should be taken to the hospital or their own doctors.

I'm surprised that you don't know for yourself. Maybe you need to have a chat with management about what your job description requires of you.

I find it odd that since you are a nurse, you don't know????
Use it to listen to blood pressure and to listen to someones lungs when they may be having difficulty breathing. How long have you been a nurse?
