limewire is really slow when you start it and got to wait like 5 minutes until it warms up then it gets faster...... get bearshare..... it maintains a certain and average speed...........

I thought lime wire was really good at first, until all of a sudden I had tons and tons of ad ware, and than about 3 or 4 days later my computer ran really really slow and would even freeze up sometimes. But as soon as I un installed it my computer was fine and I also did a ad-ware scan and virus scan to delete all the things added because of it. If you really want to use it I would recommend it but make sure you do daily scans on your computer and if it does become bad that un-install it. I got tons and tons of great sounding music as well as good quality videos though. Hope that helps.

Limewire makes your computer run extremley slow and will make pop ups come like crazy

If you are using the free version it is loaded with spyware that will slow down all your other processes. Also many files being shared on limeware contain viruses. It's not any better or worse than the free version on other programs.

it's okay but it's slow, has viruses and pop ups, and the songs seem to pause slightly every once in a while when u're running a lot of programs. i suggest u use ares, i have it (im using it now) u can go on the internet and dl a variety of things without the harm. ^_^

I would STRONGLY recommend against it and such programs.
Those Peer-to-Peer programs are ok as a product, but they introduce MANY vulnerabilities, open ports on your computer and leave many many many doors open for hackers and virus's to get in. Best to legimately buy what you are lookiing for... the pain otherwise isn't worth it.

I have no proof, but I saw somewhere on the web, that it may contain adware, so I will not use it! I have too much spam now!

It is good for downloading music etc,But it is full of spyware and trojans.Ares is the best i have seen yet.

its great cuz its free. but some songs dont come out good. its recorded from the radio sometimes

It has TONS of spyware....use ares or bearshare.
