Many Latinas are part indigenous. In other words, you all are mestiza, mixed race. Some of the indigenous people have Oriental characteristics. This is so much so that Yupik people of Alaska have a term for Orientals --"imitation Eskimos."
Also, there were several thousand Oriental workers brought to the Caribbean to work the tea plantations. You didn't say from which Latin American country were you.

Maybe because the shape of your eyes may look asian. People can be cruel too. So, don't pay them no mind. Go about your business and be proud of who you are and the hell with these folks who sit around and judge other people because of what they look like.
