Will you answer a question in answers.yahoo.com if you see someone else have answered it the way you wanted to?

Yes - but in this case I choose to add something - or go in a different direction altogether. I usually have a lot of thoughts going through my head so I run with the combination of : "what does this asker really want and what chance do I have of 'best answer'?".

Yes, I do. Because no two answers are exactly alike in any way. Besides, my answers are always unique!
