Losing that much, that quickly.. isn't exactly the best for anyone. You may be able to drop 13.. and that's only by correcting your eating habits. Please, eat 3 meals a day, with at least 2 snacks.
Breakfast - lunch - snack - dinner - and a small bedtime snack. Watch your calories, but please, do not go below 1500. 1200 is alright, but, if you want to keep the weight off, and remain healthy, this is about the lowest any woman should go.. maybe 1800 for men.
Vegetables help keep your blood sugar at the lower level - meats tend to keep it maintained, balanced - carbs will raise it. You need all three of these, no matter what anyone says.
South Beach Diet has good results, and my doctors approves of only that one..if you need to follow any of them. Best thing to do though, is eat sensible, and eat often..in small portions. Do NOT starve yourself! Do NOT do those 'shake' diets!
Take out as much sugars as you can, but don't begrudge yourself a cookie now and then.. same with white flours, and salt.
Drink water.. you'll get use to it. Tab water being the best..

Exercise helps.. walking especially! Swimming.. Check with your local YWCA and see what classes they have to offer. Also, yoga.. How about CURVES..
Good luck!

you shouldn't try to lose that much weight in such a short amount of time. That's an average of 5 lbs a week. Most experts say the safest way to lose weight is 1-2 lbs a week. It would take you about 2 1/2 months of working out regularly and eating nutrisiously to lose that weight safely. I'm working on losing weight to. I am trying to lose 40 lbs in order to get my BMI into a healthier range (and lets be honest, i'd like to look a bit better in pair of jeans). I would love to lose that weight by christmas but i know it's not the right way to go.

I can get down 20 lbs by then and will be able to work off the rest by next summer.

I feel you. I would love to get this bit of excess poundage off me ASAP. But I want to be healthy when I do it. you could mess up all kinds of things on your insides if you rush weight loss.

Sorry. I know that's not what you want to hear. But I think it's the best advice I can give.

5 pounds a week is pretty tough to do. 3-4 pounds is really pushing it. If you want to lose weight that quick, you will have to add supplements. I have lost 32 pounds since July, 2006 by using Stack Body Tune Up. I have a friend who lost 40 pounds in 43 days. So, it isn't impossible. It's pretty tough.

Exercise, lots of water, low carbohydrates, and supplements might get you there.

If I can be of further assistance, let me know.
