Yes you can add money to your debit card through an account such as checkings and credit. Just go to your bank and fill out a deposit slip with your account information and the amount of money you would like to add. The transaction and fast and easy. You do this every time you want to add money to your debit card. Also they have automated machines where you can add money to your account by putting money in an envelope and pushing into a slot of a machine attached to a bank.

A Debit card is also usually your ATM card. It's only purpose is to transfer funds immediately from your checking or savings account to the business from which you are purchasing something or to give you cash. If there's no money in your accounts you will not be able to use it. You can get prepaid credit cards, but not actual debit cards. If it only shows $17 it means your checking account is almost empty. If you have a savings account, you can transfer money into the checking account.

the most common debit card works also as a credit card, but it takes money directly from your account. other debit cards you can put money on it. you just need to transfer the money from your account or whoever got you the card to the institution that maintains the card. it works like a pre-paid phone card. you should be able to do it online or the 1-800 number on the back.

Yes you can. You don't need to have paypal account to pay for the goods on ebay. You can use credit card or debit card, which ever one you feel comfortable with.

A debt card from a bank should be attached to your checking or savings account. If you put money in your account it should be available for use. Also, some ATMs allow for deposit in the machine itself. Just do deposit instead of withdrawl and the funds should go in.

How did the $17 get in your account. Someone put it in there, probably you. Of course you can put money in your account. Banks should administer intelligence test before they let anyone open an account.
