I've just taken the virtual tour and it sounds amazing. I used to have a 2003 2.5S which was awesome. I did 68,000 miles in it and just before I traded it, I asked Nissan if they could suggest any maintenance that it needed. The only thing they could find was that the battery needed cleaning for $20. Normally a dealership will find something wrong if you give them an open invitation like that, but they did not.
Now I have a 2005 Acura TL and was considering trading it for the new 2007 Acura TL Type S that just got launched. But having read the Nissan web site I have to do a serious rethink. The new Nissan 3.5SE has 270 BHP which is just 16 BHP shy of the Type S, and thanks to the CVT that horse power difference may not matter that much, the torque is just the same on paper. In fact so far the only difference in equipment I can find is the Acura is going to have an iPod adapter, whereas the Nissan only has an Aux in which is not quite as good. The Acura also has DVD-Audio, but they don't sell the disks any more. The Nissan has Bose and also a really cool keyless entry system and push button start.
But here's the kicker. I could probably get the Nissan for $9,000 less than the Acura. As much as I like the TL, I find it hard to justify that price difference. Maybe I'll have a better idea once I have driven them both, but I can honestly say I will definitely not even consider buying my next car until I have driven this new Nissan.

Everyone always complains about the Altimas interior saying that the exterior is far superior, Nissan finally listened and completely changed the interior for 07. Now the Altima looks similar to 05 Maximas on the inside. Great step from 06. I currently own an 05 Altima SE-R and mom has an 06 Maxima. Her interior is way better than mine but the 07 Altima looks similar to hers

I love Nissan Altimas. I haven't seen or driven the 2007 one. The 2006 was sweet, so I can imagine the '07 one.

I have 2007 altima, I totally disgree with you in my mind. For instance,the last generation of BMW 3 series out-looking is almost no change as this generation of BMW 3 series out-looking. However, there have so many BMW 3 series on the road. I love this altima because its style and functions. 6 speeds manual shift, 2 exhaust system even 2.5 engine size, push-start button, key-less entry just like other luxury cars and more room. Comapre with the same car level, the tail light is better than Honda accord and toyota camry. Do u think so?

the 07 altima is great...a huge improvement....i like it alot!!!
