They are not Muslim if it is true what you say. Those are anti-Islamic sites and do not contain correct information on Islam, (form my own experience). America has violence and most are from Christian homes. If everyone followed the major religions correctly, there would be peace on Earth. I don't care if it is true or not because the Quran speaks against it. So they are not following the Quran so you can't judge Islam by some lost souls who claim to be one thing but do another. That is, if you claim is true. But what you are doing is like going to the KKK for information about African-Americans, and Jewish people.
