If you really want to eliminate the odor, try brushing his teeth. Pet stores and veterinarians sell canine toothpaste that tastes like meat. Simply put some on a toothbrush and brush the outside of his teeth, in circles. DO NOT use human toothpaste, as it has fluoride and is not safe for dogs to swallow.
Otherwise, just use pet mints or Denta-Bones.

Just to let you know I have been using dental dog treats for my Shitzu for the past 10 months and his breath & teeth look amazing. There products are all natural and all though big retalors ie: petsmart etc. sell main stream cheap products @ companion you will get only the best. And they ship to your door monthly.
