IF it's your name on the lease let her know that she has no right. If both your names are on it then she has half a right. But also think she could have been saying it in the heat of the fight. Ususally some women say get out or go away when they want to stop the fight before it gets worse.

She can scream get out all she wants. You don't have to leave though. I'd invest in some ear muffs.

If your married there may be a problem, but if the lease or you own it in your name then then there shouldn't be any difficulties, I'm pretty sure you two can sort it out though.

No she can't. If your name is on the rent book or mortgage agreement I suggest you turn to her and shout "get out, get out!!"

Oh.. and I agree with Philip W - change the locks tomorrow and see how she likes being kept out!!

Legally, if you pay all the rent, she had to get out. However, if it meant her walking out on the street alone at night time, might have been the gentlemanly thing to do to get out yourself :-)

Probably not, but just to be on the safe side change the locks tomorrow.

She can do it, but you don't have to leave if it's your place. But if you do (going to stay with a friend or whatever) then that may give you the upper hand in the deal.

leave to cool things off, legally if you live there, you are a legal occupant, cops cannot make you leave, unless a battery has taken place.
