For Spirits:
You can get the same drink anywhere, but for local bests, go to the sources. Every country has its own specialty, equal in all aspects to another country's special drink.

Fish: Icelandic, but almost British Cod, Haddock
Beef: overrated: English is best
Lamb and Venison: who suggests? English is best
Shellfish: best food in the world; scallops, prawns from the English Channel
Beer: Germany

To me, the best country for food is Germany (I love sauerkraut). As far as the grog goes, Australia has the best beer, specifically Cascade, which is made in Tasmania.
