Okay, the other day my throat started hurting, and its not really really bad it just sort of feels irritated. Then just last night I started to become really congested; I've been blowing my nose all day. I haven't been sneezing very much, either (this might sound sort of gross, but I think the mucous is going down my thoat and irritating it). I don't believe I have a fever and I don't have "chills" so to say. And my ears are plugged I think. No headaches or anything else.

I do have a history of allergies, but I haven't had a serious sinus problem since like Christmas. Does it sound more like a sinus problem or a cold to you?

It is a viral infection , the virus is difficult to know but it dosent matter, if you had influenza vaccines, might be other.. But the importa thing is that you have COLD, this will go away in a week or two, two dimish the symptoms, take acetaminophe, anti histamines. If you have cough for more than two weeks go to your doctor.

It's a cold. If it were allergies you would probably have a headache and sinus pain. Take some aspirin, decongestants, and drink plenty of fluids.
