I said it today and he hasn't said it back, and I feel somewhat rejected. He says he's not freaking out, but didn't say anything else. I've been on the other side before, my ex said i love you to me and i didnt say it back. I've never done this before. What if he won't ever love me? I'm worried about that. What should i do?

would you sit out the game if you were afraid of striking out?? no, you would go head first and play your best... that can be applied to relationships... you may always wonder "what if"... maybe he isn't where he wants to be emotionally... some of the best things in life are worth waiting for... is he long term material? then a little waiting never hurt . ;) good luck !

Well, if he isn't freaking out, that means he perhaps isn't there yet, but has the potential to be. You'll just have to gauge that for yourself as time goes on. Honey, don't feel at all uncomfortable - he should thank you for being honest, and you should be proud of yourself as well, even if he doesn't say it back - EVER. You can move on, and someone out there will pick up where he left off, for sure. I said I love you to my man after three weeks, so...no biggie. It's just a matter of what you're both comfortable with, so don't push him, or obsess about whether or not he's going to say it anytime soon.

first stop acting like a weenie and grow up, so you took a chance and told him you feeling out loud, and you expected him to bare his out on the spot??? hive him a break he will say it when he feels it how ever long it may be. Dont ever tell him again tell you know that he loves you back!!!

remember "actions speak louder than words"

real love is forever, maybe hes not ready for forever. it can be taken many ways, so dont let rejection be the first to come to mind. remember those are only words, and some prefer to show it instead of saying it.

If he hasn't said "I love you" to you in a month or less, I would leave. That means, you shoulda left 6 months ago. Get outta there before you get too attached, because it sounds like this guy isn't mature enough to express himself or commit. I don't have to read anymore.

Everyone says it when they're ready. <--hopefully. I said it to my bf a few weeks before he said it to me, and yes the first few times feel weird not hearing it back.

You're fine...I had the same problem with my guy but eventually he said it back....give him time. If he doesn't come around by the one year anniversary...it's time for you to talk.
