I met this guy this summer and he is fantastic. He is sweet, caring, compassionate, smart, and he has a lot of the same interests I do, and an amazing smile. I love him so much, and we are good friends. How can I let him know I love him without losing our friendship? Please help. He has seen me at my best, and at my worst, and I love him so much, but do not want to lose this valueable friendship.

I assume you are not dating? Just start by dropping hints, make physical contact, look him in the eye for just an intentional awkward second or two, hug him goodnight and hold on for an extra second, see if he gets it. If not, you can ask him what he thinks of you.

Don't be afraid to tell him your true feelings.
I had a very close friend for years who loved me but was afraid to tell me in case it ruined our friendship. I only found out about this after leaving my hometown and coming back years later. In the meantime she'd met somebody else and had children. If I'd known how she felt back then things could have been so different!
