I pulled it a week ago during whilst warming up for a jitsu class. Its better than it was but I can still feel it tight as I walk up the stairs and by the end of the day the bck of my knee and also the top of my calf aches - presumably due to compensating for the weak hamstring whilst walking.

And could anyone recommend anything to help it to heal?

I would say another week to week and a half if it's a mild strain, try rubbing arnica into the muscle, you can get the cream at health shops, rest as much as you can.

I pulled my hamstring a few years back in Judo. Overstretching. Black and blue, you know the stuff. My Sensei also does Shiatsu, a form of massage in easy terms. I was back on the mat within 4 weeks, gently to start with. There is a great cream you can get someone to rub in for you called "Nature's Kiss" which has Arnica, Hypericum, Calendula and perpermint in. Brilliant. I also saw a Phsio the day after the pull who stated stretch excercise as soon as possible, but to the limit, not past it.

Melina debuted on Smackdown with MNM in 2005, the 1st time she replaced into injuried replaced into June of 2008 while she injured her heel. The in December 2009 she tore her ACL. She has basically been injuried two times in view that she started so NO she isn't the main harm companies diva!

How long does it take for a mild hamstring injury to heal? For muscle injuries I heat 'em up and stretch 'em, but I'm not a doctor.

any kind of muscle injury is going to take time to heal as its active most of the day it [the hamstring[ gets very little rest.off the top of my head it might be an idea to try a Chinese herbal therapy, entirely up to you ,try arneka, from boots, might give you some relief

For any muscle injury, use ice for the first couple days to reduce swelling, then moist heat to help the muscles relax, stretch, and increase blood flow to help it heal. Ease back into it slowly or you'll just reinjure it and it will take even longer to heal.

Tough one as we all heal at different rates, but would say take it easy for another week or so, rubbing anointments into the muscle to relax it and then start gentle stretches, not to aggravate, if it hurts it ain't right, but to keep yourself flexible. Hope you get better soon.

Ask your doctor. Every injury is different & every person is different.
