Can someone site the link to the peron who conducted the research and scientifically proved evolution is a fact. I need dates and names if possible or when it was confirmed. Thanks!

Darwin is not the person who proved this. Looked that up once already. And to Ima are you serious? I didn't ask about gravity but if you think it isn't fact you have a real issue. When do you float anyway? I'm dying to see this

why not stop the insults and then one of you who claim there is "evidence" that supports it then please show me where. Do you have the name of a book or website? I'm serious, I want to see it!

Evolution is not a fact, and the scientists who are pushing it are now openly saying that it is false they just don't want to believe in GOD.
if you want more proof email me at houseoffun5@yahoo.com
and I'll be glad to tear this lie down for you.

No one person proved that evolution is fact. The use of the words "theory" and "fact" with respect to science is a common source of confusion. In science, a "theory" is shorthand for "theoretical framework that explains a large body of evidence (facts), makes useful predictions, and has not been contradicted by any evidence". Examples of scientific Theories include Newton's Theory of Gravity & Motion, Maxwell's Theory of Electromagnetic Radation, Einsteins Theories of Special and General Relativity. No one ever says of any of these that "they are only theories, and not fact".

The Theory of Evolution is totally deserving to be included among these other theories, with just some minor qualifications. First, Charles Darwin is the father of the theory, and for the most part everything he proposed has been usefully incorporated into the modern Theory of Evolution. However, you must be aware that Darwin wasn't even aware of Mendel's work on inheritance, and Mendel wasn't even aware of chromosomes and DNA. The modern Theory of Evolution is a much more complete theory than Darwin's orginal ideas. The other qualification that should be made is that the other theories I mentioned are all theories of Physics, and each has a complete mathematical model that describe the theory. All theories of Biology are much less amenable to closed form mathematical models. Instead, statistical methods have to be used (this is true for some theories of physics as well, for example those describing the behavior of gases and fluids).

For some physical theories, just one experiment was enough to "prove" the theory. For example, Einstein's theory of General Relativity was "proved" when his prediction that light can be bent by gravity was confirmed via an experiment. There is no one experiment that has proved the Theory of Evolution. However, there is a HUGE amount of experimental observations that have been made in biology that are all consistent with the theory of evolution. There are many ways that the Evolution could have been proved to be false, but that has never happened. The factual evidence is so fimly in support of Evolution that there is no longer any controversy among serious scientists over the Theory of Evolution.

Thousands and thousands of scientists have provided vast evidence of evolution. The theory is overwhelmingly 'proved', not by one scientist but by the incremental evidence of countless scientists. Scientists have no need to believe in evolution yet the vast vast majority do, and in the relevant fields virtually all. Any single website can only scratch the surface. But anyway here's a start:

The good characteristic of a strong scientific theory is that you can make predictions with it. Evolution tells us that diseases will gorw and change at particular rates in particular environments. We use that knowledge to predict disease outbreaks and pandemics. Vaccines are directly the results of algorithmic approximations of what those possible diseases could become.

This prediciton is possible because we know that the DNA that defines the disease mutates over time due to errors. DNA was discovered by Watson and Crick in 1953 in the hunt for the mechanisms which made evolution possible. Every living thing on the planet has DNA, and that DNA defines all of our biological architecture. We have come to understand how DNA works so well that we are able to engineer it to produce new forms of life that have never existed before, including a bacteria that produces insulin needed by diabetics.

Humans are more complex, but so are most things that have sex organs to reproduce. About the same time that Darwin was coming up with the Origin of Species, Gregor Mendel was developing an understanding of heredity. This was the late 1800's. Sexual selection allows more variations to occur more rapidly and leads to more complexity in shorter amounts of time. Human history is written in the manipulation of animals and plants' heredity to produce better crops and livestock. Farmers use selective breeding programs to manipulate their livestocks heritable traits to ones they prefer for sale. Such processes produce animals that are not like their wild ancestors and it can be done in ones lifetime. They evolve in macro-scopic ways. This method has been used for hundreds of years and affects everything in your local grocery store. This process is the same as natural selection except, instead of people, the challenges of the environment are the selectors: drought, predators, weather etc. Consider humans, you are not exactly like your mother nor your father. You have a combination of traits that provide you a uniques set of abilities. You may have a slight advantage over your brothers and sisters because of them and will likely do better in the world than them. Your offspring have a better chance of survival because you did. etc. etc.

Every day more data corroborate evolution than ever before. The more we learn about genetics, the human genome and cell function the clearer the evolution picture gets. In the end, there is no other theory that has more supporting data than evolution, and the only real way to invalidate it is to provide another theory in which all this evidence fits.

Education 101

First....go here:

http://education.yahoo.com/reference/dictionary/entry/theory;_ylt=AmZiYxpD1j4tZBOvqTPu5vCsgMMF

Scientific theories use definition #1 and are commonly referred to as a working theory because it WORKS with all the evidence.

Religious theories are based on definition #5 in that they are BELIEFS and assist a person, without any scientific evidence, to believe they comprehend something.

Now with that being said, if you want to learn more in the field of biology, anthropology, paleontology, archeology or any other discipline that uses the Theory of Evolution and the evidence that supports it I suggest you go to collage and get an education in that area.

EDIT: This question is the theist equivalent to: Could God create a rock so big even he couldn’t lift it. You are using flawed logic and assumptions to prove your point and it doesn’t work.

Evolution is science. Science NEVER says "well, that's it, we proved it, time to stop looking". Ever.
Even gravity is a theory. There is no accepted law of gravity. (the only "law" of gravity is Newton's law and it's not universally accepted)
No one doubts that gravity happens, they simply have doubts about the mechanics behind it.
Same as Evolution.

There is a whole internet out there with thousand of names.

Start with Darwin.

Incidentally, this sounds like a silly creationist trick question to me. You will find disagreement, revision and true debate - not blind faith and ignorance.
