I'm trying to figure out how to do these ponytails:

In other words, I need to learn how to make a loose ponytail.

Any suggestions?

My problem is that my ponytails are too tight. If I make them loose, my ponytail sags, and it looks like a white trash ponytail.

I'd rather show you than describe it, let me tell you! :-))

For one up in the middle of the back of your head, or higher up, lay on a bed, face up, with your head hanging over the side. Brush your hair from the top and the sides loosley back. More firmly from the bottom. Secure with a stretchy, then add ribbon.

For one lower on your neck, you can do it standing up. Again, brush the top and sides back more loosely, the bottom, tighter. Secure with a stretchy.

The third pic I could not view, I got some error message about server configuration, sorry.

Hope this helps.

It just takes practice to get the look you want.

U probable using the wrong ponytail holders. Make sure u get those that are not to thick so that u will be able to achieve this. The first one is a simple part for a bang. Gently comb or brush hair towards top of head , grab with one hand and slip ponytail holder into hair. U may have to go only 2-3x around instead of 4 or more. Also depends how thick your hair is. Use a nice accessory like ribbon or clip if u r tying for something classy. More classic and simple like 2nd one. Brush hair or pass comb through, no part. Grab hair at nape and simply put in ponytail holder. U may have to put this 1 a little tighter b/c it could slip out easier. Don't give yourself a headache though. And go. Still problems, ask a friend for help.

Jus take a comb part it alittle in the middle, and grab it in the back and tie it loosely. Then brush it.
