go out with me to a movie, or baseball game or just to hang out at his house, we have fun together and Im over his house about 3-4 times a week, but when I ask him to go out clubbing or go out with me and my friends he declines, and just this passed weekend, his buddies GF invited me to go out clubbing with them for her bday....she told him (in front of me) that she invited me. So when Saturday came around I called him and asked what he would be doing he said he didn't know and he'd call me later....but he never called me until Sunday........am I trippin or what?

There are places he doesnt want you with him because it will ruin his game. He wants to date you but also stay a player. He makes sure you both look like you are just friends, that's why he doesnt take you clubbing or to a pub or any grown up places.
Move on

Does he go clubbin without you? If he does, he probably doesn't want you to see how he acts when he's out. You need to ask him about it. Are you dating or just friends, do you hang out with only each other and never with everyeone else? Sometimes, a guy that really likes a girl, doesn't want to go to the club with them because its different enviroment. All you can do is be cool and yourself and if it's really bothering you, ask him nicely.

Well, there could be a couple of explanations:
1) he's just terribly shy about being in public
2) he can't dance so doesn't want to look like an idiot at a club
3) he's embarassed to be seen with you (doubt it's that one)
I'd start by asking him if it's #2 - then just ask why he doesn't want to go out with your friends.
Quizically,

If you guys haven't don't anything together, then he's not using you. Maybe he doesn't want you as more than a friend and thinks that clubbing or bars would give you that impression.

I thought he was just a little controlling until you said he straight didn't call. Ouch. That's low. Lose the anchor. He'll only drag you down. Curious: What did he say Sunday? Did he go out w/out you?

I have three guesses:
1) He simply doesn't like clubbing
2) He's a bad dancer and is embarrassed about it
3) He doesn't like large social settings
But really if you want to know you can always just ask. It sounds like you are in a relationship in which this would not be too hard.

Maybe he just doesn't like the clubbing scene with lots of drunk people who can't dance, high-priced drinks, and young twenty-somethings acting like teen agers who can't hold their liquor and just chill out like adults. What's the big freaking deal???

He might not like going to a club... He is more like a homebody type... Why don't you ask him and find out. Beside if you don't like it then just move on... EFIL
