recently an American aquaintence of mine told me that, during the Vietnam war, he was stationed at Wang Too Long in the Minge Pong district and that towards the end of the war, he took several trips up the Poontang river; but I can't find any of these places on the map. Do you think they may be in Cambodia?

I submitted this question earlier and got some very srange answers - so I wanted a second opinion.

You've been had kid...those names have nothing to do with any place in Asia...
they are hick expressions for something else.... locations are between the waist and the knees... not on a vietnamese river...

Hahahaa.. Good one..

But, I think Poontang River is in Tailand.
