disc's the size of a nickel or quarter, that you put in your salt shaker or sugar to prevent humidity from causing your salt or sugar to clump. I would like to check ebay or some place on line but I don't know what they are called. Thanks for your answer!

Actually any piece of fired, unglazed clay will work. Rice is also an option. The word for anything that makes or keeps a substance dry is "desiccant".

Just put a little bit of rice in the salt shaker. It works great for moisture.
