Me and my buddy are debating whether or not this is cheating...a guy is going out with this girl they are bf/gf. The guy starts talking to a girl that lives in another state across the country who he has never met but decided to ask her out as well (and the other girl says yes aswell) while he is still dating his gf close to him... would this be cheating?

If he is dating the current girl exclusively then yes that would be cheating. If he has to think about it or has mixed feelings then more than likely it is cheating. The other person is probably under the impression that it is one on one. If both people came into the arrangement by going out occasionally to just kick it or just hooking up every now and then, then it is just casual dating with no serious feelings about anyone, just plain fun.

Yes this would definilty be cheating. Although the girl lives in a different state that doesn't mean it is not cheating. I mean think about it.. if the girl for some reason moved and ended up living right next to you would you still think it is not cheating. Even though you never see her it definitly still is.

Yes, it is cheating. Unfaithfulness does not always have to be of the physical. He was attracted to another girl, which is normal, but he acted on it by asking her out. It doesnt matter if she lives in another state or down the street.

Yes. Any behavior that takes away from the commitment that exists between two people is cheating and diminishes the relationship.

As long as he has not made a comittment to either girl, it isn't cheating. However, if he had led the first girl to believe they are in a committed long-term relationship, and turns around and asks another girl out, it is inappropriate.

well it is only cheating if he starts to do stuff w/ this other girl in sted of his own gf. I may not know a lot but as long as she and he know that nothing is going to happen then your answer is no.

Yes and no. I only constitute cheating if there is any kind of physical contact. holding, hands, kissing, sexual pleasuring etc., if this is not done and they are just talking then it's OK unless he plans to actually see this girl.

Let me make it really simple even thought they dont have physical contact its the emotional connection that cuts the deepest its the fact that he does not love you as much as he loves this stranger across the state. she will be crushed brother.

It depends. Does your close girlfriend think that you are dating exclusively?

The question ALWAYS comes back to this: Would you be upset if she did it to you? If your answer is yes, then you are cheating.
