this is really hard one..I'm not really dogmatic believer but I can say I'm christian..we can say Jesus gave up his life for the benefit of mankind as Bible is saying..is it suicide as he wasn't fighting for himself and he gave his life is really hard to think 'bout..

But important is to know ( from the Bible and from the conversations I had with priests as I had the same questions for them ) giving your life for someone else or his life isn't real suicide as you gave your biggest sacrifice for someones good..so I guess that would be it..

Or for example just think 'bout fireman who puts his life in danger every time he is rescuing someone..

It would be the same if taking life of someone is a sin..yes it is! But if it was in self-protection or in protection of some other life then it's not sin..as it's primal human right..to protect himself or to protect other human..even if it means to take someones other life..

This is really really hard theme..but even priests told me this should be right..

I have been saying this for weeks on this site.

I cannot tell you exactly what the Bible says about suicide, other than the fact that it is a moortal sin that casts you directly into Hell.

However, if the idea of God being omnisicent is to be accepted, then this would mean that God KNOWINGLY sent himself, in the guise of Jesus, to die for mankind's sin. Thus, God commited suicide by sending Jesus to his ultimate death... Surely, when a man in a combat situation goes into a battle that will knowingly lead to his death, he is refered to as suicidal. Why wshould God be any different?

Jesus is burning in hell. BUt thats okay too - so is Ghandi and Budddah. Why would Jesus want to hang out in Heaven with Jefff Dahmer?

IF jesus existed he was probably a Schizophrenic. I think that Jesus was the worlds first urban legend. The son of God brought to earth through a human? This is not the almighty power at work. This is the worlds first Jerry Springer Family. Mary a single woman gets knocked up out of wedlock and makes up this story of immaculate conception. Joseph the betrothed of mary would have been stoned to death for getting her pregant goes along with the story. Having a baby in the barn?? That screams trailer trash to me. Therefore meeting the requirements for a Jerry Springer Family.

You have asked the right question.

If He was God then he was Omniscient, then he really commited suicide. Because the definition of suicide is to kill oneself or to commit an act that he already know would kill him.

He did not commit suicide, he was sacrificed (and rose to life on the third day) so that you might be saved!

no JP, he did not. commiting suicide is murder of self, the 6th Commandment. Judas committed suicide, because of his shame of himself for betraying Jesus.
