Sad, isn't it?
Anger hides sadness.
Illiteracy breeds hatred.
I don't understand why it is easier for some people to choose to be miserable...

I guess it's sort of like religion. Each person "believes" there is a god and a devil, heaven and hell, and black and white. A middle ground or gray area would seem rather blasphemous. Gray is the only thing you'll see in matters of immigration. Most people don't see the splitting of a family because of an illegal immigrant's deportation as gray, they see it as black or white, good or bad. They don't see that for every dollar that an illegal immigrant makes, it subsidizes several dollars for corporations, small businesses and individuals. They only see the wet-back Mexican.
A corporation can hire a legal resident for $20.00 an hour to do a certain job but instead hires a non-legal resident $5.00 excluding benefits. The $15.00 dollars not paid by the corporation is a tax on the legal immigrant, instead of the tax going to the government the tax goes directly to the corporation which is then past onto the consumer which is then spent on the local economy. This is as gray as gray can get... because it benefits both sides, a greedy corporation and a needy immigrant. But a lot of people see it as being evil and Un-American.
That's why.

People can feel intimidated by a good question with a good point. And therefor, feel that they have to lash out in a way that might help them feel bigger and better. There is no true rhyme or reson to all this hate and indecency in the world, or this little forum, so just keep your head up and keep asking your questions, with the hope that others will learn from it or at least try.

Well, I suspect that there are a lot of people who have a very low self image, and the only way they can live with themselves is b insulting others and making demeaning comments about other cultures, races, and /or languages. That way they can look at themselves in the mirror and say to themselves: 'I'm not so bad after all if I could say that to him (her).
Rather silly when you analyze it, but I think that is truly what motivates a lot of people.

People spew hatred because they are afraid, by and large. "Difference" is viewed as threatening, due to lack of understanding. I would like to think the solution is more open discourse, so people from different backgrounds could learn more about each other, celebrate their differences, and embrace their similarities. But everyone needs to be willing to listen with an open mind first. I'm afraid human nature is often not inclined that way.

Most of the questions are asked in a hatefull vein so the answers they get back are hatefull and when a real question of wanted info comes along its hard for people to change gears.

Because hatred is a natural human emotion.
and this forum is full of us simple human beings.
Remember scratch the surface and just below our thin veneer of civilization. We are all just monkeys still scratching our arses and sniffing our fingers afterwards.

They vent here because if they did it in public somebody would punch them in the nose or they would be in jail waiting for the psychologists assessment to come back. here they feel safe.
