Well, neither, because dogs can't fly, and I weigh too much to ride a greyhound.

Seriously... if you're comparing travelling by airplane or riding a bus... weigh the pros and cons.
1. Flying: gets you there faster, especially if you're travelling from one coast to another, or more than 500 miles. You can spend as little as $89 if you shop the airline sales! Luggage restrictions are about the same. You may have to pay for the meal, but the stewardesses serve food and drinks. The air quality may be an issue because it's recycled. You can't get off once the hatches are sealed. Coping with airport traffic, parking, and security can be trying.

2. Bus: maybe as fast if the trip is less than 500 miles, but you're limited to the road speed limit. Can cost as much or more than a plane ticket. You can bring your own food & beverages on the bus, and there's generally more legroom than in the coach section of a plane. Accidents are probably more frequent while riding a bus, but not as many people are injured. You can use your cell phone 100% of the time if you get reception (use a headset so you don't bother your neighbor).

Flying without a doubt!! As a kid my parents took me driving ever where and a trip from Mpls. to Arizona - San Diego - LAX - San Fran - Seattle - N. Dakota - back to Mpls on Amtrak. That was a Nightmare! Never again will I do a bus, train nothing unless I'm on a tour in Europe that requires as such. Otherwise no thank you. I was so bored and we drove to Alaska! So the only place I now drive is because I can't fly there!! The farthest I will drive to is 5 hours. Technically Duluth I can "fly" to, but that is only 2 hours drive and that I can handle.

Plus there are several destinations worldwide that are amazing and you can't drive to! So I just don't understand how people like these round the country road trips! To each there own though. I want to get there as fast as I possibly can and am willing to pay to do so. A lot of times people think flying is always more expensive which is not the case most of the time. Just depends on when you are trying to book the airline tickets is all.

Definately flying. My husband had to ride a greyhound across 8 states. One bus at a connection left too early and he spent 8 hours at a bus station (which generally aren't as nice as airports). Plus flying is quicker and more often than not - cleaner.

Fly - get there fast & have the time to take in the sights that would have been lost to Greyhound.

I went across Canada once on a Greyhound, jumping off to visit cities along the way, but that was enough of the road, so I flew back from Vancouver to Toronto.
It was a good way to do it.

I would choose flying, because I did so much traveling in cars when I was young, that I completely burned out road trips.

5 hrs in a car is about it for me, but I can fly 18+ hrs no problem.

I just like to get there myself and you see some great sites from the air as well.
