i know a lady who dressed up as lady liberty with her daughter and they loved it, they took one of those hard styrofoam (i know its spelled wrong probably, but im tired) rings and glued tryangle shapes (styrofoam) and painted it green and went out and got the green fabric and made the dress thing, and made a tourch thing and held a book, you might try that it worked out really well, another is a tiger/lion/cat, angel, devil, (i know this next one will sound wierd but i saw a girl do it, it was kinda cool) a bag of soil (it was a sack thingy that soil comes in and cut a hole big, by the way it was clean, enough for her head on the bottom using the top as the leg holes, and used that, her dad also owned a flower shop), a doll, a pumpkin, a present, a flower, a bird (use those feathers you can get at any craft store, a happy face (2 poster boards cut into circles and color them yellow and make the eyes and mouth with sharpie and then laminate it, then take string or something and hole punch holes in the 2 faces and tie the knots through there) a pad of paper, a mummy, a pen/pencil, a fairy, and anything else you can think of, look around what do you see take in it for inspiration!
hope that helps

My daughter was a witch last year 4 the 1st time on Hallowe'en. I always usually try and avoid her being a witch, cos nearly all the kids seem to be witches.
1 of her best outfits was Dracula, from our local shop we got the medallion on a red ribbon. Put a white shirt(collar up), used the witches cloak, black trousers, brushed her hair back, face white, drew fangs, pointed eyebrows+ 'widows peak' hairline with black eye pencil(face paints dont work).

I am a part time dance teacher and we are having a Halloween party on 21st October. Parents have been telling us that Sainsbury & George have some fantastic costumes in and very reasonable too.
Last year my niece went as a little devil in a gorgeous red 'vamp' dress from George.
I like home made costumes the best.

If she wants to be a witch then let her.... You could be creative while letting her be a witch... She could be a princess witch or an angel witch or a fairy witch. Just have to do some creative thinking while putting the costume together.

Some of the most common little girl costumes are: princess, fairy, black cat, pirate, angel, Dorothy (from Wizard of Oz), cheerleader. There are a ton of costume ideas online as well. Just type in halloween costumes into the search engine and it'll being up a ton of pages.

A ghost, a spider, a mummy, a vampire, a skeleton, a bat, a black cat or a plain 7 year old like I do with my daughter as 7 year olds can be the scarriest on this list at times eh?
