I've been hit in the stomach alot for I used to box and do martial arts. The hardest shot I ever felt was when I was getting back into shape and during sparring I was hit by the rib cage by a shot I didn't see and wasn't in the conditioning I used to be in to walk through it.

Basically zapped the air out of me for a few seconds. I gave out a low grunt when the shot connected. Wanted to double over to be honest.

The worst is getting punched in the stomach when you are not expecting it. The wind gets knocked out of ya and I was down on the ground for a minute trying to get my breath back.

I've been punched in the abdomen many times in boxing and in martial arts. One boxer laughed and said he'd just as well punch the nearest wall as my abdomen. In football, I rushed in and blocked a 4th down punt with my solar plexus. Everyone who saw that was amazed that I could endure such a blow. Once, my brother and I were practicing golf. He swung wildly and hit me in the solar plexus with his club, a #9 iron. Mom & Dad were present, and they thought I'd been severely injured, but I just laughed. I'm like Wang Hsu-Chin, a Hsing-I master who broke the hands of karate men who hit his tummy. Some punk even shot me in the lower abdomen with a .25ACP pistol. The bullet was deflected from my thick and tough abdominal muscles and came out the side.

I used to have a very strong stomach and could take a good shot there. But you definetly feel it when someone has a good punch.

Sick feeling in the stomach when I was a kid. When I boxed when I was in the Army it felt uncomfortable but since I was training my abdomen I was able to take the strike better.

There are not many people who have not
taken a shot to the gut - very unpleasant
try it, and tell me your reaction - it hurts.

Yes. When I was a kid, I got into a fight (actually quite a few). It was my fault and I got the wind knocked out of me. My tummy hurt for a couple of days.
