I have an F1 Labradoodle. Wonderfully awesome Dogs.

Yes they are a Hybrid, Standard Poodle with Yellow Lab. MIne is an F1 which means it is a first generation. Low to no shed, extremely passive, loving, cuddly.

I registered mine.

At 5 months she weighs over 40 lbs..big dogs and are total teddy bears.

They are expensive up north, upwards of 2 to 3 Grand.

We have a Breeder in town who is wonderful and is a good friend. They ship them everywhere.
They gave my hubby and I one as a gift, best dog ever.
She gets along with my other two dogs in house olus all dogs that come to our home for training as well as in public.

If you want more specific info, drop me a line, I can send you photos!

Good Luck!

Hi, In answer to your question, I own a 12 month old chocolate labradoodle named "ziggy". He is extremely playful, very friendly with other dogs and also perfect with children. Compared to other breeds of dogs I have owned, Ziggy has been extremely easy to train (these dogs were originally bred by Guide Dogs Australia to be companion animals). He loves to play, and also loves to swim.

Labradoodles vary significantly in appearance; some have very curly fur like a poodle and others look more like a 'shaggy' labrador. Because of their 'poodle', they tend to shed a lot less fur than most breeds, so they are more suitable for people with allergies.

If you are thinking of a labrador x standard poodle, be prepared for a lot of exercise and long dog walks, also be prepared for the cheeky personality that labradoodles tend to have.

Labradoodles are becoming increasingly popular in Australia (where I live), because of their wonderful nature.

Whatever descision you make, I hope you enjoy your new friend.

Goldendoodles, Labradoodles, and other "oodles" & "poos" are nothing more then mix breed dogs...mutts.They aren't a breed. They can't be registered with any legit registry. Papers can only be obtained through scam registries which were created by BYB and Mills. They are a marketing gimic. They aren't guaranteed to be low shedding since they are a mix of a high shedding breed with a low shedding breed. If you are looking for a Poodle mix then I suggest checking out the shelters and rescues instead of lining the pockets of someone breeding "designer mutts" for a ridiculously high price.

Those aren't real breeds of dogs, but rather a "hybrid" of two breeds.

You can't tell from litter to litter what traits the dogs will have, e.g., it is a 50/50 chance that they will shed like a lab or not like a poodle. There are several labradoodles at our shelter who were brought in by their former owners who were told that their dogs were nonshedding and/or hypoallergenic and that did not turn out to be the case

IMHO: rather than spend hundreds of $$$ for a designer mutt, you could find either of those crosses at a shelter in your area and it would be just as fine of a dog.

Why would you pay good money for a cross bred dog? The results of a cross bred are unpredictable. Save your moeny, and save a dog. Get a mutt at your local animal shelter.

Well, I think that the mixed breeds are just as good as purebreds. I have two purebred yellow labs, and a chipoodle, (a chiuaua and minature poodle) and my chipoodle is definatley as attentive as the other two.

I woaldn't go for either.
They are mixed breeds that people are trying to sell for top dollar. Why don't you go down to your local animals shelter and save a life.
