This has nothing to do with the Catholics. The bible says God predestined you and knew you before your were born.

The bible tells us in Jeremiah 1:5:

"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou came forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."

Sanctified means blessed. The Lord Blessed us before we were born. Not only were we blessed, but he actually ordained us. Have you ever really thought just how very special you as an individual ? You are so special that the Lord acknowledged you BEFORE you were even conceived.

Ephesians 1:3 - 14 says: (NKJV)

3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ:
4 Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,
5 having predestined us unto the adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,"
6. to the praise of the glory of his grace, which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved:

We are all born with a free spirit. WE ALONE chose life with
God or life for satan. But, God is God. Does he already know? I bet so!! But he is also just to forgive.

Hope this helped. Be Blessed.

I'm probably going to get slaughtered in here for doing this but here goes anyway. I heard this joke years ago. I still love it. But for some reason a lot of people don't get it. Your question just seems so appropriate. And by the way I don't think this is a Roman Catholic thing. Think it's just called Christianity. It's the question about predestined fate and free will.

Q: How do You make God laugh?

A: Make a plan.

Absolutely, yes. In Jeremiah 1:5, the Bible says, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations."

Thoguh not everyone is born consecrated to prophecy, God does show that he knows all the details of our lives long before we're even born.

Amazing, isn't it?

Where did you get this from? The doctrine of predestination is a Calvinist teaching, mostly adopted by protestants. The Dominican Order also adopted it but i think most other Orders are in doubt about it.
