The Greater Riddle
What is greater than God,
More evil than the devil,
The poor have it,
The rich need it,
And if you eat it, you'll die?

Nothing!
Nothing is greater than God, (Jeremiah 32:17)
Nothing is more evil than the devil, (John 8:44)
The poor have nothing, (Deuteronomy 15:10-11)
The rich need nothing, (1 Timothy 6:17-18)
And if you eat nothing, you'll die? (Deuteronomy 8:3-4)
Ü
Ask God to do great things with your life.
Pray that He keeps you from evil.
Pray that He keeps you humble in spirit.
Pray that He lets you see your need for Him each day.
Then take time each day to feed on the bread of life!
John 6:35
And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying,
"Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory,
that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil,
that I may not cause pain!" So God granted him what he requested.

Scriptural References
"Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and
outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you."
Ü Jeremiah 32:17 NIV
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He
was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him.
When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
Ü John 8:44 NIV
10 Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the
LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand
to.
11 There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be
openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land.
Ü Deuteronomy 15:10-11 NIV
17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their
hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides
us with everything for our enjoyment.
18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to
share.
Ü 1 Timothy 6:17-18 NIV
3 He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither
you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but
on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.
4 Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years.
Ü Deuteronomy 8:3-4 NIV
28 Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?"
29 Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."
30 So they asked him, "What miraculous sign then will you give that we may see it and
believe you? What will you do?
31 Our forefathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written: 'He gave them bread from
heaven to eat.' "
32 Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, it is not Moses who has given you the bread
from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven.
33 For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."
34 "Sir," they said, "from now on give us this bread."
35 Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry,
and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.
